Hi, girls!
What can you do when you’re broke, your wallet is empty yet you need to buy a few beauty products? You must learn to save up! How to get more than a one-digit sum of money left on the bank account and enjoy some new cosmetics in the beauty case?
Drugstore vs DIY Cosmetics
Home cosmetics can successfully replace some drugstore products. For example, exfoliating scrubs. Drugstores offer small scrub bottles or tubes that are quite pricey. You use them up quickly and must get next ones. Making a scrub at home is a solution. Use salt, sugar or coffee and add honey, yoghurt, lemon juice or cosmetic oils. The DIY scrub will deliver far better effects than drugstore products. Your skin will be smooth, firm, clean and nourished.
High-Quality Cosmetics
Although they are more expensive, they’re worth the money. Such cosmetics provide stunning results and some of them are truly long-lasting. I mean make-up products – mascaras, foundations, eyeshadow. Going for high-quality cosmetics doesn’t only let you create a professional and long-wear make-up but also nourishes your skin and lowers the risk of irritations (that worse cosmetics could trigger).
Large Containers
Buying larger containers is my next money-saving hack. I usually go for shower gels, body lotions and shampoos that have 400 ml or larger capacity. Such products last longer and work like the ones of smaller capacity and the same price. I even found a one-litre shower gel recently.
The Second Life of Cosmetics
When a cosmetic lets me down, I use it in a different way. For instance, I use it instead of a shave gel, foot cream or washing liquid.
