Hey!
I feel it in my guts that every woman’s dream is to have thick and strong hair. Am I wrong? I’m really fixated on this issue perhaps because mother nature gave me hair that isn’t only fine and hard to arrange but also incredibly damage-prone. Luckily, after dozens of hair care products tested and many beauty treatments given to my hair I finally learnt which cosmetics work wonders. Do you want to get to know them? Read on.
1. Hair washing products that boost volume of fine hair
Of course, there are special shampoos that are expected to boost hair volume. They contain substances that give you root lift. In other words, such products make my hair look more voluminous. Another plus to mention is that such shampoos create an invisible coat around each hair which prevents clumps and at the same time adds body to the entire length of hair. And this, of course, creates the impression of full-looking hair. Okay, so what shampoos are the most suitable for those with thin hair? My absolute must is Kerastase shampoo for fine hair.
What is so special about this shampoo? It contains powdered cellulose that is responsible for lifting hair up. Apart from this, the shampoo by Kerastase contains substances that add body to each hair and deliver an effect similar to lamination treatment. Trust me, the appearance of hair improves after the first use of this hair washing agent. And with every other washing, hair becomes more and more beautiful.
2. Dry shampoo for fine hair
Even this ‘regular’ dry shampoo such as Batiste is able to slightly increase the volume of hair because one of the characteristic features of products containing either the rice powder or talc is that they create build-ups and embrace hair, which results in fuller-looking hair. Therefore, on days that you use dry shampoo, so when you wash your hair without using water, the strands win more body and the hair is more ‘fluffy’. Basically, dry shampoos often contain extra substances responsible for boosting hair volume. So, the next time you go shopping for a dry shampoo, look for the packaging with ‘Volume’ inscription on.
If I were to give you my totally favorite dry shampoo, I’d say that this is the one launched by Klorane. It contains Asian rice starch. This cosmetic has no problems with absorbing the excess sebum and leaves hair fuller. Of course, the hair treated with this dry shampoo looks fresh and is voluminous.
3. Conditioners that add volume to fine hair
To me, there is no such thing like taking care of hair without using a conditioner. I love the effects that some of such products create on my hair: smooth out, add shine, leave hair more resilient, help me tame the strands and make them more manageable. Sadly, many conditioners deliver temporary effects, which means that hair looks pretty for a few hours only. The next day, fine hair is overburdened. Luckily, there are special conditioners dedicated to fine hair in particular. Despite being lighter, they are equally effective. What are the most suitable conditioners to use on fine hair?
I go for L’Oréal Volumetry. I guess I won’t exaggerate when I tell you that I literally love this conditioner. I love the effect it creates on my hair. It doesn’t make my hair flat but gives it the push-up effect. The strands remain lifted and fluffy for really long.
4. Light and easy to use spray conditioners for fine hair
Sometimes, due to lack of time, I can’t apply regular conditioners, hair masks or other hair care products. Sometimes I also feel like my hair needs an extra portion of nourishment. It’s the well-known truth that leave-in conditioners make hair flat, therefore I choose light hair mists. These are real game changers! Just look, you can carry a bottle in your handbag to take it out and spray the hair when you notice that it needs nourishment. The effect is out of this world. Spray conditioners don’t have to be removed from hair, are super light and perfectly suitable for fine hair. The one that suits my hair best is Matrix Biolage Volume Spray. This product contains interesting nourishing substances such as cotton extract or soy proteins that regenerate and lift hair up.
Do you know any good products to treat fine hair? I’ve read that many herbal distillates can be used on hair, not only on skin. I’m curious whether you have already tested herbal distillates. If you have, please leave a comment below!
